Marmots are neighbours of Rifugio Ciampac. Easy to spot, also because of their characteristic high-pitched whistle that emit when they hear someone approaching. You can observe them closeby, if you lurk silently on the edge of a meadow, and see the marmots, made curious by your presence, they come out with their cute little face from the dens.
If you plan to win their trust, as you can see in the picture, if you don’t scare them you will be able to approach them and become their friends.
